Hello,
I clicked on the executable file to add the EO web controls and received an error message stating that automatic installation had failed and that I had to install the controls manually. Finally the file finished installation but I don't see my EO controls in the toolbox.

I went through the ToolBox and on right-click, selected "choose items" but did not see where/how to add these controls.
How can I add these controls manually?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

See here for more details:

http://doc.essentialobjects.com/library/1/installationanddeployment/install.aspx

The steps and screenshots are based on older Visual Studio, so it might differs from your Visual Studio slightly. But the idea is the same and the steps are the same for any third party DLL.

Thanks

Thank you for your help. I failed to mention that the Visual Studio 2008 in the office machine is part of a TeamFoundation server. I'm attempting to install the EO controls to my machine only. I have admin rights, however, I've gone through three install attempts and apparently, the EO controls are not added to my Visual Studio version.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

In that case you may want to contact MS about this. Because the steps are exactly the same for any third party DLL, we actually consider it beyond the scope of our support (should be considered a question for Visual Studio). So you may want to search online or contact MS so that they can find out what’s wrong with it.

Thanks!
