I need to know how to get rid of the underline and the forced inverse (blue) colors when it has focus?

Hi,

You can change PromptChar from "_" to " " (space) to avoid the underline. You can not remove the blue selection.

Thanks for the speedy reply! I had already tried the PromptChar property without any success. However since the color annoys the crap out of my users, I will have to find another control somewhere else. Thanks anyway!

Not a problem. PromptChar should work. The highlight color is pretty standard for a MaskedEdit textbox though. In any case, hope you find whatever needs to satisfy your client. : )
