Hi. I'm starting down a dark path with this one. I'm not blind to that as I type this. Anyway... here goes.

I have a tabstrip that has multiple rows. Right now there are 3 rows of tabs. Sometimes, but not all the time, when in the application, the tabs don't render properly. There are 2 problems here that make this very confusing; it truly only happens sometimes and refreshing the page sometimes fixes the problem and selecting a tab sometimes fixes the problem.

I've been racking my brain with this and don't know where to go from here. I've compared the rendered source (from view/source in IE) from the page that worked and one that didn't. I can't find anything that makes me think there's a problem.

I have made this observation; on slower connections it seems to happen more often. On fast connections there are less occurrences of this. ???? I'm not sure what that means, if anything. Again, just an observation.

Another odd example... yesterday we held a training class of 30 people. We had them all login at roughly the same time. Of those 30 users, probably 30% of them were missing tabs. Same room, same system, same everything. This is about as random as it gets.

Being a developer, I know this "random" occurrence of problems is tough to nail down. Unfortunately, I'm at a point where this has to be nailed down and as soon as possible.

What can I do to help you help me?

Looking forward to the resolution.

Hi Ryan,

Is it possible for you to set up a test page or create a test project for us so that we can see the problem?

Thanks

I'm not sure setting up a test page would exactly capture this situation.

I would be willing to give you a sign in for the site so you can check it out for yourself. Would that be a good starting point for you?

Hi,

That would be a starting point but in order to nail down the problem, we may need to add debug information and update the DLL in order to collect such information, and this may need to go back and forth multiple times. So ideally a mirror test site site would be very useful. Would that be possible?

Thanks

Yes. In fact, we already have that available where we can update DLLs as necessary and not risk breaking anything super-important.

So, what's next? You need a sign on? Is there a way to get that to you without posting here? PM or something equivalent?

Let me know.

Thanks,

Ryan

Yes. Please PM us the logins and steps to reproduce the problem (We understand it only occurs sometimes). We will then try to conduct our test and see if we can spot anything.

Is there any update to this problem? I am currently experiencing the same problem. It is consistent on two out of 10 pages where the tabstrip is present. One page is essentially the tabstrip and fileexplorer control.

Issues:

Enter page - all tabs disappear except for selected tab - file explorer contents visible
- File Explore works as expected
- move mouse to where tabstrip and tabs shoud be and the entire strip will reappear, but all content, icons , etc.. in file explorer disapper
- update file explore (ie. move splitter) all file explore content appears, but tabstrip will disapper

very confusing

Hi Scott,

What you are seeing appears to be a completely different issue. Can you isolate the problem into a test project so that we can take a look?

Thanks!
