Hi Jack,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I've tried everything you're suggesting below but it still doesn't work.
Also, I've been on the forum at EssentialObjects.com and I found many other users that are experiencing the same issue.
I could really use that control in my current development. Please advise.
Regards,

Frank Martorana

Hi Frank,

I can't think of anything that could cause that rather than some internal Visual Studio data is messed up. One thing you can try is to delete EO.Web tab from your toolbox, then add EO.Web.dll into GAC, then add our controls back to your toolbox FROM THE GAC. Let me know if that works for you.

You may also want to try a blank local project to see whether it has anything to do with your project.

Thanks!
Jack

Hi,

This maybe a Visual Studio issue where the ultimate solution lies with MS. However we can setup a remote meeting to take a look on your machine if you don't mind. We will see what we can do. Note that if it turns out to be something with Visual Studio, then you may still need to contact MS for that.

Thanks!

In order not to waste anyone's time, I have tried one more time to uninstalled EO, cleaned up everywhere where a reference to assemblies were made and re-install it..
After re-installation, I opened a project and tried to insert in my form the Flyout control.
Some different now happens: it still doesn't place the control on the form, but it places a <tag> instead.

So that would be fine with me if you take over my desktop; I really need that control for my current development and I don't understand why many of us have a problem with this control only.
Please let me know when this can be done.

Hi,

We have posted a new build that should address this issue. Please see your private message for the download location. It does appear to be VS issue but it is only triggered on the Flyout control due to some subtle difference in our implementation. The new build should work around this issue.

Thanks!

Hello

I was just reading this thread, I have had problems using the flyout as well and wondered if this new build could fix it. Where abouts can I download this build?

Thanks

Hi Jason,

The download page has been updated to have this build. The issue that was addressed is just the drag drop from toolbox in VS2010 though. So if you have any other issues, then it will be a different issue.

Thanks!
