Dear Sir:

I am evaluating downloader component now, when I clicked a button (link with the downloader control) to download a file with a Chinese file name, and then the file name become to unreadable characters, but it still could be downloaded.

Is there any way to fix the problem?

Thanks

Dear Sir,

Thanks, I have tried the new build, it seems to work fine. The filename with Chinese could be showed correctly while 'Open' or 'Save as' operations now. But I found it still have problem with the Filename Extension (for example: xxxxxxxx.YYY -> .YYY is in Chinese), and then it will become unreadable (ex: xxxxxxxxx.%7%9a%84%e5%82%99%e4%bb%bd)

Could you fix it futhermore?

Thanks

Eric

Hi,

We have posted another build that addressed the extension problem. Note that this will cause IE 8 treat the full file name as a whole. IE 8 often adds an additional number to the file name part when prompt file name for download. For example, it may prompt "test (2).xxx" while downloading "test.xxx". Treating the file name as a whole will cause IE to append the number to the end of the full name, not just the end of file name (for example, "test.xxx (2)"). This only occurs if you have Chinese characters in your extension.

Other browsers seem to be able to handle it fine.

Thanks!
