Validation of viewstate MAC failed. Options

Hi.

I have an callbackpanel in my web site.
When I leave the browser alone until the session expires, and then click somewhere,
i get this error message:

Validation of viewstate MAC failed. If this application is hosted by a Web Farm or cluster, ensure that <machineKey> configuration specifies the same validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a cluster.

Is there a way to prevent this?
It only seems to happen in IE8.
