Hi - we are using EO version 6.0.63.2 on our website, and have been doing so without issue for 2+ years.

Last week a user contacted us claiming they could not see the navigation (TabStrip) on our site. They tried IE (not v6), Chrome, & FF. With all 3 browsers they received a javascript error and were always unable to see the TabStrip. The error details (from an IE JavaScript error dialog screenshot they sent) are below. We were thinking that since this is the only user with these issues, that the problem is on their side (their network/local computer/security settings?). Could you help us understand what might cause some users from experiencing an issue like this? We'd like to provide some sort of feedback to the user.

Thx.
-C.R.

Hi,

The first thing that comes to our mind would be some kind of anti-virus/content filter programs on his system that is either incorrectly altered the javascript the server sends down, or filtered out one or two of our Javascript files completely. If he has such programs, you can ask him to disable that and see if it works.

If he continues to have problems, we can look into his computer remotely (if he wishes us to) for a fee. If it does work fine with certain programs turned off, you can try the latest version and see if it works with that program. Because each version uses a different script Url (the IDs passed to eo_web.ashx are different). So merely a different ID might be able to pass some programs checking even no code change was mode.

Another benefit for the upgrade is it also renews your free tech support period for another year. The free tech support comes with your purchase has already expired.

Thanks!
