I've loaded up DNN 5.10 in Visual Studio 2008 and am trying to get a clean compile.

When I build, I'm getting Could not create type 'EO.Web.Runtime'. The error is coming from eo_web.ashx in the DNN root folder.

Checked the security on the file, ASPNET has full acces. Any ideas on what's happening?

Hi,

Do you have the file EO.Web.dll in your application's bin folder?

Thanks

No, apparently it's not part of the VS Starter Kit for DNN 5.1.0.

I don't think it should be. We are not official partnered with DNN so there is no reason for VS Starter Kit for DNN to include our product. If any of the third party DNN modules that you use uses our product, then the developer of that module should take care of all the related issues. If you are not aware of any module that uses our product, you can simply delete eo_web.ashx because nobody is using it anyway (I am not sure how it got onto your machine though).

If you are the developer and intend to use our product directly, then you will need to download and install our product directly from our site. The installer from us installs all materials such as samples, documentations and everything you need to develop application with our product; as oppose to any one that uses our product will only install the runtime DLL. A license is also required if you use our product directly.

Thanks

I used the starter kit as-is so somehow it got into the starter kit from DNN Corp. So there may be a question to answer there.

(I am not using it, as this is the first I've heard of your products.)

Having said that, I removed the eo_web.ashx from the project, and the project builds with no problem.

Thanks for your prompt assistance!
