Dear Admin,
I keep on getting this error while trying to install EO.WEB to my Visual Studio 2005 on Windows Vista.
I have all my network drives in my company disconnected from my workstation after EO.WEB installation.
If I restore back to the state before EO.WEB was installed, everything working back in normal.
I'm wondering whether anyone having similar issues like mine.
I think I have to resort to using Virtual Server to run a copy of Windows XP with EO.WEB Installed.
Or would it work with Vista or Windows 7 beta?
Thanks and I hope this post is not inappropriate since I'm still evaluating the product.
Regards, Jenson

Hi,
EO.Web works on Vista fine and we are not aware of any issues. The setup program does not interfere or change any system settings (it does not go that low level at all). So I am not sure why your network drivers are stopped after the installation. You may want to check whether you have downloaded the setup directly from us, and scan for virus if you downloaded it from somewhere else.
We do not officially support Windows 7 because it is still in beta. We do not expect it to be an issue though, once again because it is on top of ASP.NET and does interact with any low level system interface at all.
Thanks!

Hi,
It's actually not disabling the network drivers of my PC. It's just disconnecting most of my network drives (Excluding those I mapped them myself).
And that happens only after I install EO.WEB, and when I uninstall it, the problem still persists.
It could have changed some settings or files when it installed itself to Visual Studio 2005? I'm not so sure about this.
It's not that low into the driver, it's just disconnecting some of my network drives (shared resources on remote server).
Thanks.

No. Not even that. All the setup does is to copy a number of files and then call VS to add itself into VS' toolbox. There is no reason for VS to remove your network drive mappings when you do this.

I will proceed on to try it out and evaluate whether it meets our development needs. Thanks a lot for the helps and clarifications =) Regards, Jenson
