Problem: Ever since upgrading to EO's Web Controls 2008, I am encountering crippling jscript errors ('object doesn't support this property etc.) when attempting to run certain pages in either IE7/8. The problem only occurs on my development pc (Running Visual Studio 2008, WinXP and IIS 5.x). It's an odd situation that has forced me to debug in VS2008 using Firefox 3.
I've spent some time picking this apart and attempting to determine the cause of the problem. This is a summary of my findings:
1. My experience is associated with the use of the datepicker control although I can't say that it would not occur with other EO controls. However, when removing the datepicker control from a problemattic page, the errors do not occur. 2. The problem is worse with IE8 as compared to IE7 but both browsers have problems when accessing a localhost (testing) website running on IIS 5.x (WinXP). 3. The problem does NOT occur when accessing a remote host running Win2003 / IIS 6 / IIS7. 4. The problem does not occur with Firefox 3.0 under any circumstances. 5. The issue did not exist with Web Controls 2007.2
Any insights would be appreciated.

Hi,
Would it be OK for us to see the problem on your machine? We use gotomeeting to do remote sessions.
We have seen similar issue in the past that are caused by strange IE configuration issues. For example, IE 7 always reports itself as IE 6. Those causes the JavaScript code to take the wrong path and crash.
Thanks!

That would be great! I've heard of GoToMeeting but I don't know how to use it. Just tell me what to do.
Thanks,
Brian
