Installation and ISS 5.0 Options

Hi,

I just went to try to install the library (downloaded fromthis link: http://www.essentialobjects.com/Download.aspx?p=EO.Web

But during the installation, I get this error:
Live demo may not work correctly because you do not have IIS 5.0 or above on this machine.

The point is, when I go to the Windows Config Panel - Add/Remove programs - Windows Components the IIS module doesn't appear on the list. I cannot install it. And with the original CD of Windows neither.

I run Windows XP, Family edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 2 (and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Version 9.0.21022.8.RTM)

I can download ISS 5.0 from the microsoft's website, but it's only compatible with Windows 2000; Windows 2000 Advanced Server; Windows 2000 Professional Edition ; Windows 2000 Server; Windows 2000 Service Pack 4; Windows Server 2003


Is the EO Library OK to run on my computer, regardless my configuration?

Hi,

You do not have IIS because you are running XP Family edition, which does not have IIS. But you are fine with it because you have Visual Studio 2008. Visual Studio 2008 has a built-in development web server that you will be able to use to run all our samples.
