It depends on when you purchased your original license. We provide free one year upgrade. So if you purchased your original license within one year, then your license will cover the current version, otherwise it will not.

To find whether your license will cover the current version, log into your account and then go to "My Orders" page. If the "Subscription Status" says valid, then you can use the current version. In that case you would need to click "View" under "License Key" and then pick the current version. That will give you a new license key and you will need to change your code to apply the new license key instead.

If your license does not cover the current version, you can click "Renew" to renew your subscription to be current. The renewing price depends on the "distance" between the last expired date and the current date, so the further behind you are, the more expensive the renew is. Because of this, it is possible that the renewing price exceeding the full price for a new license. Obviously in that case purchasing a new license would be a better option. When you purchase a new license, it will automatically include a one year subscription.
